Art with a purpose.
about.
Family Tree Carvings was established by world renown chainsaw sculptor Steven Higgins and his wife Kelly. Steven began his career as an artist at age 11 when he participated in a seven year apprenticeship under a master carver. At age 15 he joined the competitive carving circuit and won his first competition at age 17. In his 20 years of experience in competitive sculpting Steven has represented the United States in many international competitions including Japan, Germany, the UK, and Canada.
Family Tree Carvings was established to realize Steven and Kelly's dream of building a family business that has an emphasis on working together, connecting with their community, and giving back. With their mutual heart for adoption they've committed to set aside a percentage of all Family Tree profits for the purpose of funding both domestic and foreign adoptions, making Family Tree Carvings truly an art with a purpose. Steven and his wife Kelly currently reside in Kansas City, Missouri with their two sons Joseph and Gabriel and Steven's daughter Hadassah.
